As of October 1st, online retailers in Denmark selling tobacco, alcohol, and nicotine products must verify the age of their customers before completing a sale. This new law aims to prevent minors from accessing age-restricted products, and it introduces stricter controls through the use of either MitID, Denmark’s national eID system, or a biometric face scan matched with a valid ID.
